Forest Department launches plantation drive at Doda | KNO

DODA (KNO) : The Forest Department , Division Doda today carried out a plantation drive in the premises of JNV Arnora ,Doda here today .Law Maker from Doda Shakti Raj Parihar was the chief guest on the occasion where as CF Chenab Circle T B Singh IFS,District Development Commissioner, Bhuwani Rakhwal ,SSP Doda M Shabir was also present on the occasion.

While holding an interactive session with the students of the school , the MLA Doda highlighted the importance of forests in sustainable development and exhorted upon the students to show their active participation in various plantation drives.Stressing on various roles played by forests in maintaining life on earth, the Chief Guest urged the students to protect the natural assets and asked them to create awareness among the common masses about the same.More than 1000 saplings of medicinal, ornamental and other plants were planted in the school premises by DDC, DFO , staff of forest department , faculty and students of the school .

Speaking on the occasion, the CF Chenab Circle , T B Singh IFS briefed the teaching faculty and the students about the various plantation drives launched by the department in whole Chenab valley and asked the students to ensure proper care of the saplings planted by them.Earlier, Principal JNV Arnora , applauded the role of forest department especially CF Chenab Circle T B Singh IFS for undertaking such a drive at school premises .(KNO)
